Andrea Syrtash is a relationships and sexual health author, fertility advocate and founder of pregnantish - the first media platform dedicated to helping people navigate infertility and modern family building. She also founded The World Fertility Awards, the first global consumer-facing event celebrating changemakers driving forward the future of fertility. 


Andrea's the author of popular books including He’s Just Not Your Type (And That's a Good Thing)  and Cheat on Your Husband (With Your Husband) published by Penguin Random House and It's Okay to Sleep with Him on the First Date - And Every Other Rule of Dating, Debunked (HarperCollins). She's hosted TV programs for Oprah's OWN and the Discovery Network, and frequently appears as a guest expert in the media. 


A sought-after speaker, including appearances on the TEDx Makers stage and as a moderator of the first fertility-focused panel at DAVOS Health, 2026, Andrea is also the host of the pregnantish podcast, chosen in 2023 by the New York Times as a recommended listen.


Originally from Toronto, Andrea lives in Brooklyn with her husband and daughter, born via gestational surrogacy after years of fertility treatment. She remains committed to breaking the stigma around infertility and elevating conversations about modern family building. Follow@pregnantish for more.

Carolyn Kossow, MSc 🇺🇸

Communications & Partnerships Manager

Carolyn is pregnantish’s Communications & Partnerships Manager, where she leads the organization’s partnership program, overseeing strategic communications, content development, campaign execution, and partner collaborations across the fertility and reproductive health landscape. 

She holds a Master’s degree from the London School of Economics, where her research focused on Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ART), including egg donation and surrogacy, in a global context. Carolyn brings expertise in fertility communications, reproductive justice, LGBTQ+ advocacy, health education, and partnership strategy. Prior to joining pregnantish, she worked across nonprofits and startups advancing economic, racial, gender, and LGBTQ+ equity at both local and global levels. Through her work, she is passionate about expanding access to reproductive health information, elevating patient voices, and fostering more inclusive conversations around family building.


Carley Ford 🇺🇸

Events Manager

Carley is pregnantish’s Events Manager, where she leads the planning and execution of premium educational events, community gatherings, and advocacy initiatives that bring together patients, healthcare professionals, industry leaders, advocates, and media voices from across the fertility and reproductive health space.

Before pregnantish, Carley grew her a career at the intersection of marketing, events, and community engagement. With experience spanning brand strategy, social media, trade show production, and client relations, she has led marketing initiatives across industries — managing everything from content planning and CRM communications to large-scale event logistics. Her work in pharmaceuticals and senior care also shaped her people-first approach, strengthening her ability to build meaningful relationships and create experiences rooted in empathy and connection.

Erin supports pregnantish’s global events program including project management, program coordination, production, communications, and more.

A strategic communications and marketing leader with 8+ years of experience advising organizations through high-visibility, fast-moving moments, Erin specializes in translating complex ideas into clear, actionable strategies that drive growth and alignment.

As Founder of Dogmatic Marketing Group and former Account Supervisor at 919 Marketing, she has led national campaigns, managed cross-functional teams, partnered with executives, and developed brand, content, and reputation strategies across B2B SaaS, nonprofit, and service-based industries. With expertise spanning messaging, stakeholder engagement, digital strategy, and platforms including HubSpot, Salesforce, Mailchimp, and Google Analytics, she brings a thoughtful, collaborative approach to helping mission-driven organizations strengthen their voice, connect with audiences, and scale sustainably.

Business Development Advisor

Jim Clark is a serial entrepreneur, strategy consultant, and catalyst. Prior to founding Civilization Labs in 2025and the Bridge Era Institute in 2024, Clark was best known as the Founder/CEO (1997-2021) of the World Technology Network (WTN), a global association of 1,500+ of the world’s top innovators, peer-elected via the annual World Technology Awards in science, technology, and related fields.
