From Awareness to Access: The Future of Family Building

In honor of National Infertility Awareness Week

April 2026 | New York City, NY

On April 16, 2026, in honor of National Infertility Awareness Week®, pregnantish hosted From Awareness to Access: The Future of Family Building at Luminary in New York City. Bringing together journalists, physicians, advocates, founders, and patients, the evening explored how education, advocacy, and innovation can work together to expand access to fertility care and reshape the future of modern family building.

Special guests at this live event included Eboni K. Williams, Danielle Melfi, Dr. Shefali Shastri, Mike Johnson-Ellis, and moderator Andrea Syrtash. Attendees heard actionable advocacy insights from RESOLVE: The National Infertility and Family Building Association, expert discussions on fertility preservation, infertility, and surrogacy, and personal stories highlighting diverse paths to parenthood. The evening also welcomed members of the media, healthcare community, and fertility advocates committed to advancing awareness and improving access to care.

This event would not have been possible without the support of IVI RMA North America, My Surrogacy Journey, the World Fertility Project, and Luminary.
